Where were you guys when I was asking everybody walking the streets of Chicago where the best pizza can be found.

...oh......right.

I grew up there, and I go for business at least three times a year. Here are the things I have to have each time I go:

Pizza: Lou Malnati's. Giordano's is good too. But compared to Lou's, Geno's, Uno, and the others are cowpies with tomato sauce. Never tried Pequod's.

Italian Beef: Al's

Hot Dogs: Super Dawg

Steak: Gene & Georgetti's or Morton's (the original).

Ribs: Carson's (These are my favorite ribs in the world. And I've had them in KC, Memphis, and StL.)

Best Wedge Salad: Joe's Prime Steak, Seafood, and Stone Crab (Sorry. I love wedge salads)

Places to avoid: Ed Debevik's, Portillo's

Went to Ed Debevik's one time I went there.  I didn't see what the big fuss was about.

Nothing wrong with it if you like wearing a stupid paper hat and eating average food to blaring music. The intentionally rude service is supposed to be fun. Really it was just rude.

My experience wasn't that bad, but it wasn't anything special, either.  Worth going once, but not worth going back when you've got great pizza and such.
