Bench players winning Title

or B.)  bench players who helped advance to finals.or
B2)  bench players who had signifigant playoff contributions.

However, i dont mean 6th men, i mean 10 11 or even 12th bench crustoids who ended up playing in the playoffs.  

Point is, I do not agree with NBA culture mentality that 10th 11th and 12th men on the bench are simply crustoid fodder to sit like statues.  I'm guessing if we put our collective memories together we can come up with some 10-11-12 bench players who ended up impacting a finals or playoffs.

Greg Kite Celtics.  One year one series he was fantastic.

Good ones Joe.  Also notable that 4 of the 6 you mentioned played under Phil Jackson-Tex Winters.
Raja Bell looks well on his way to another playoff good contribution.

I just dont buy that a winded starter is sooo much better then a completely fresh bench player.  Proof is as the players we are posting.

I don't think he was 10 11 or 12, but he definitely qualifies.   Maybe he was 10 come to think of it.
 
Pop-a-Cement would not have played him (was not playing him) were it not for foul trouble.  He bailed them out vs Dallas no doubt.  In title year.

Ya but he was at the end of the bench with SA and def made a HUGE difference.  Might not have got to the finals without his shooting.

Reality, I could have sworn he was like one of the last 2 guys on the bench.  Pop didnt even put him up until that time if my memory serves me.  Great thread btw, im at work trying to think of those guys who went unnoticed.

Absolutely you are correct that he was very late off the bench.  I believe Pop a Cement did not even play him in the Dallas series until the Spurs were down 2-1 and about to be down 3-1, putting Kerr in very late.  4 3ptrs and also great entry passes to Tim Duncan, which the other Spurs guards at the time could not do.

Yes i would say for the 2003 playoffs he was 10th off the bench.
Call me crazy but I thought he was the biggest Spurs loss after the '03 season.
Against the Lakers in '04 playoffs Kerr was again exactly what they needed.
Of course it's a "what if" and the Lakers would have countered, my point is given Kerrs history....

Pacers have gone 3-2 so far with Britton Johnsen, Tremaine Fowlkes, and Eddie Gill getting some minutes.  One win over TWolves.

Point is the theory that they suck so bad as far bench 10,11,12 people and therefore should get zero minutes just doesn't wash.

Britton Johnson is an exceptionally hard worker.  I'm glad to see this guy getting some time.  He played some really smart ball the other night in the game against the Timberwolves.

Going back a ways - M.L. Carr with a big steal for Boston years back.

The bench-guy for Boston who came up with big buckets against Phoenix in the final overtime in Game 5 of the 1976 Boston/Phoenix finals.  Don't remember his name, but a big deal was made of it.
