I've never bought the argument that minutes should be based on how many years you've been in the league. If you can play, and play at a high level, then you deserve to play. Speights has earned the playing time, especially with Brand out.
I believe you should reconsider the buying of that argument. No one can play a year or two or three of college ball and hang for a full 82 game season in the NBA. ESPECIALLY a big. It just doesn't happen.
Speights has deserved time, yes. 21-22 minutes worthof time. Later in the season he should get 1-2 more...next year a couple more. Before you know it - he'll be playing 34.
And Reggie is only useful when either the Sixers or the other team is playing without energy.
...which thankfully happens all the time in the NBA. Again, due to the lengthy schedule. Energy makes up for alot of shortcomings. (Which is how we've won half our games.
