Probably herb, no biggie I guess since Josh from the Mavs says it's the norm.

Charles Oakley and a number of other players have said the same thing as well.

It's not like basketball players smoking pot is news or anything, if i recall properly there was actually a debate in one of the CBA negotiatioins regarding testing for marijuana, players really didn't want it, this was like 5 years ago or something.

Plus, who cares, it's pot?

I don't think its a big deal as long as it is done on their own time.  The league looks the other way when they go out and spend thousands of dollars on alcohol buying out the bar.  This should be no different IMO.

Yeah, Brad had to do the "gauntlet of death" march around Arco, apologizing to Theus, Petrie, his teammates, then the fans.

It was his third "dirty" pee test, so he gets five games off, without pay. It had to be the weed, for that is the penalty for a third offense. If it were a harder drug, he would be gone for a lot longer and that would be for a first offense.

yeah, i found that part of what i was reading interesting....one positive test for anything not pot, banned from the league.

That seems a bit harsh, i mean sure coke is stupid to do, but what about treatments and such?

I thought you got expelled from the league after 3 positive tests, that was something that came up when Odom joined the Lakers because he has two strikes against him.

Is that why JR Rider left the league?!

3 positive tests for harder drugs is a ban for life, I thought.

I gotta say this doesn't come as a surprise.  Brad just looks like a toker.
