PHX Suns IPod Tracklist
« on: April 25, 2008, 04:37:35 PM »
This is a joke thread that we do on another board when someone has their back against the wall or in hip hop's case when someone goes to jail or gets robbed  :D  So what's bumping out of the Suns IPod?  (JoMaL an IPOD is similar to a portable boom box.  It is a device that you can carry with you anywhere you go that stores music in a format called mp3.  Mp3 is like a digital version of a song on an 8-track)

Ray Charles - Hit The Road Jack
Queen - We are the champions with the mp3 tag being changed to "We were almost the champions"
Jay-z - Lost Ones
Big Daddy Kane - Warm It up Kane (better yet Big Daddy Shaq - Warm It Up Hill)

Is this jinxing the Spurs?  Maybe.  Boy is it nice to watch basketball when you are not invested in one of the squads playing!

I was thinking someone could rework an old song by the band America to come up "Horse With No Game".

You see I been through the desert on a horse with no game
He was too fat
To get out of the lane.

"My only regret in life is that I did not drink more champagne."  -John Maynard Keynes

I thought about this earlier actually,  for some reason the song "The Pretender" from the foo fighters, keeps coming to mind.
On the set of Walker Texas Ranger Chuck Norris brought a dying lamb back to life by nuzzling it with his beard. As the onlookers gathered, the lamb sprang to life. Chuck Norris then roundhouse kicked it, killing it instantly. The lesson? The good Chuck giveth, and the good Chuck, he taketh away.

And for the old timers...(Can't get no) Satisfaction by the Stones.
It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave.  Keep on thinking free.

Mostly what I am seeing here are "Whipping Post"'s, and may the Allman Brothers forgive me.

But if we are to stay on theme, then the same bands' "You can't lose what you ain't never had"
"We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty.....We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason.....We are not descended from fearful men, not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate and to defend causes that were for the moment unpopular....We cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home."

Steve Nash's ballad to Bowen

"Scream" by Michael Jackson

--just STOP pressurin' me, just STOP pressurin' me, . . . Makes Me Wanna Scream!--

I do like jn's idea, though, you can keep going with it:

--in the desert, Shaq still has no game,
for their ain't no Spurs that won't give him some pain
la . . . la . . la la la la . . . la la .  .laaah . . . lah . . .  lah
--
"But guys like us, we don't pay attention to the polls. We know that polls are just a collection of statistics that reflect what people are thinking in 'reality'. And reality has a well-known liberal bias."

the song "I'm a little teapot"

can be added to that list...don't matter who sings it...

LOL.

Creep by Radio Head seems to fit:  "I'm a creep, I'm a loser, what the hell am I doing here, I don't belong here"

From the same song: "I don't care if it hurts, I wanna have control..."
"History shouldn't be a mystery"
"Our story is real history"
"Not his story"

"My people's culture was strong, it was pure"
"And if not for that white greed"
"It would've endured"

"Laker hate causes blindness"
