Looks like Stackhouse has ruined the Mavs/Nets trade for Kidd

He not only talked openly about a buy-out and resigning with the Mavs, but bragged about how the 30 day waiting period will give his a chance to rest his body for the playoffs.

Bottom line?

Looks like no Kidd for the Dallas franchise trade will be happening any time soon.

IMO the trade would probably not have helped the Mavs enough to win the west.  This will either bring the Mavs closer than ever, us against the world mentality, or completely destroy the team.  IMO the Mavs are not a mentally tough team so their season is OVER.

Either way, I agree. This looks exactly like it is....an act of desparation brought on by other western teams making big trades.

What a fiasco this has become.  How would you like to be one of the other players in either Dallas or NJ locker rooms right now?

WOW I agree that the Mavs probably aren't tough enough to really pull it back together but there is at least a slim chance.  The Nets locker room will fit right in with the state of NJ and become a toxic dump.

Lacking mental toughness, perfect way to put it. And management looks absolutely desperate.

I'd hate to be Jerry Stackhouse and Devean George right now.  I think Kidd is in the same spot as before.  He wanted to go long before this.  Stackhouse and George tho?  Must run for the hills when Cuban comes to the locker room lol
