Is "actionable" a word
« on: August 06, 2007, 11:49:08 AM »
Not that it matters that much, cause you know you can trust the source of this promise re taking out al-Qaida leaders.

"With real actionable intelligence, we will get the job done," Bush said.

It is a real word believe it or not.  I too was very suprised, it is hard to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Hard to get the job done when our leadership doesn't have reasonable intelligence.

One problem is the definition of the word means to be able to take LEGAL action.  And I really don't think Bushie plans on taking legal action against any terrorists...just congressmen.
It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave.  Keep on thinking free.

Everything they do is legal, moral, and ethical.

And people thought Clinton had trouble defining words...

I would hope people did NOT have trouble with Clinton defining words, but how he was using the words. Bush can only dream of having that ability.

With Bush, you can guarantee what HE means by 'actionable' is to see evidence of a smoking gun where he can sent in ordinance to obliterate it.
"We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty.....We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason.....We are not descended from fearful men, not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate and to defend causes that were for the moment unpopular....We cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home."
