I think their salaries do not match up Reality.

Although IMO the Kings are still getting the short end of the stick.  Artest is a better offensive weapon then Finley and pretty darn close to Bowen on the defensive end.  I'd even go as far to say that Bowen is not quite on the same level as Artest when it comes to guarding stronger players in the paint.

Wow.

If I'm the Spurs, I reject that deal.  There's nothing wrong with the team, and adding a reputed malcontent isn't going to help them in any form or fashion.

If I'm the Kings, I reject that deal.  I'm not trading one supposedly top level reasonably young guy for two lesser players, both somewhat aged.

Hmmm.

Well, if that is the offer, I think I will reject it. Finley would just take minutes away from Martin and Salmon, who currently are playing the best basketball on the Kings. Bowen could step in for Artest, but I would prefer Artest because of his post play.

Nah, it would not help the Kings. As for the Spurs, do they really need to make that trade?

If I am the Spurs I then ask...and what are you going to offer to make me WANT to take on Artest?

If I am the Kings I ask...will this help my team when those salaries expire?

Neither team is improved by this deal.

Actually there was a small reference in today's paper that the Spurs were interested in Maggette but couldn't offer as much as the Kings.
It riles them to believe that you perceive the web they weave.  Keep on thinking free.

Part of that is due to Poppycock SmallBall, but not all.
