The first draft pick of the Sacramento Kings was a wonderfully self-deprecating doofus named Joe Kleine.

Not exactly a Webster Dictionary definition of a stiff, but he certainly was not good enough to build a team around. He certainly was better then John Koncak, who was drafted right ahead of him at #5 in 1985.

In 15 years, Joe averaged 4.1 rebounds and 4.8 points, while Jon gave you 4.9 boards and 4.5 points in 11 seasons.

I think those extra four seasons ultimately brought down Joe's career averages.

One thing you could count on with Joe, though. He was fearless and you could not hurt him. Had the skull of an ox, and actually the same levitation, come to think of it.
"We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty.....We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason.....We are not descended from fearful men, not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate and to defend causes that were for the moment unpopular....We cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home."

How about former Hawk Jon Contract....er...Jon Koncak.

Let's not forget the former Laker stiff, Chuck Nevitt.

Somebody already stole my Uwe Blab...so how about Yinka Dare?

Joe

Dwayne Schintzius (SA, NJ, Ind)

Acie Earl (Boston)

Luther Wright (Utah)

Kenny Gattison (Charlotte)

They just keep coming to me...
