The first draft pick of the Sacramento Kings was a wonderfully self-deprecating doofus named Joe Kleine.
Not exactly a Webster Dictionary definition of a stiff, but he certainly was not good enough to build a team around. He certainly was better then John Koncak, who was drafted right ahead of him at #5 in 1985.
In 15 years, Joe averaged 4.1 rebounds and 4.8 points, while Jon gave you 4.9 boards and 4.5 points in 11 seasons.
I think those extra four seasons ultimately brought down Joe's career averages.
One thing you could count on with Joe, though. He was fearless and you could not hurt him. Had the skull of an ox, and actually the same levitation, come to think of it.
