Why isn't Indy into consideration? IMO, they have as good a record as LA and better than SacTown and SA -- only the Wolves and the Mavs have a better record against top opponents.
Indy has beaten the TWolves, Mavs, Spurs and Lakers.
Indy has lost to the TWolves, Kings, Lakers and Spurs.
Also, somebody PLEASE clue me in why they would say this:
Elite 4 i have no problem with. Calling Dallas elite i dont think so. While i am not dissing Dallas, I'm not so sure the fast closing Memphis Griz, Denver (we'll see tonight) and Yao Baby are not right on Dallas doorstep. Yao and Hou even and better then Dallas but not with Van Gruntys offense repressing Yao.
Umm, Dallas has beaten the Spurs 2x, Minn. 2x, Lakers 2x, and SacTown 2x.
Dallas has lost to the Lakers 2x and the TWolves 1x.
Please explain to me how you can discount the Mavs when they have the BEST record against the elite teams in the league? And then you count in a team that is 2-7 against elite teams and call them the favorites? Try and be just a LITTLE objective, okay?
2-7 record vs Elite teams so far*
*we have won the last two
Hmm, aren't you the one who HATES astericks?
I don't think that asterick means anything -- the Lakers could use an asterick to show how many of those 5 games (against elite teams) we have lost without our HOF'ers. Astericks are just a way of trying to make excuses for how your team has faired weeks earlier.
Also, the Spurs no longer have players who have to be doubled other than TD. Dallas has always had a tough time because they had to double TD and DRob -- no more -- and Speedy isn't there to take up the slack with Parker is playing bad -- and Jackson isn't there to knock down the long range shot. Spurs have a LOT to prove -- and this game against the Mavs is HUGE for the Spurs -- the Mavs have already proven themselves in this season -- they have to prove themselves in the post-season.
