God, with you it's all about luck.  Ignoring the Vick interception that got called back, and the "roughing" the passer on 3rd down that led to their only TD.

Brian Westbrook ran all over the vaunted Atlanta D on the one drive they had to stop him.  Yeah, they did great  :drunk:

Ignore the times ATL D was stuck in the red zone thanks to their lame O?
It could have been Philly up by 14+ much earlier.

Ignore all the props I gave to McNabb.  I suppose McNabb put some super spin on the would-be int ball that caused it to roll of the ATLs db.  Are you going Laker?

Phillys D way better at staying home.  Vick wants Ds to overpersue.  They stayed home.

LOL, you continually ignore that these things (RE: not making every play) happen on both sides of the ball.  It was a buttwhooping.  No luck.

Atlanta got lucky that their WR accidentally bumped Michael Lewis 6 yards downfield rather than 5, 5 seconds before Vick even left go of the ball.  Atlanta got lucky that after going up to try to block the pass, Sam Rayburn's hand accidentally grazed Vick's helmet, setting them up for their only touchdown.

By pointing out luck for only one side, it's an attempt to undermine the other team.  It's your typical argument, "Reality".

You must give the Eagles defense credit for Vick's performance.  THey used two men just behind the line of scrimmage outside the tackles to contain Vick.  He couldn't run right or left without them tackling him, and if he managed to break up the middle, they would come together and squeeze him.

Atlanta's recivers weren't good enough to demand more than single man coverage.  Vick had nowhere to throw and the running backs couldn't get yards against the Eagles front, which managed to sack and harrass Mr. Speedy all day.

McNabb was so much better that there's really no comparison, and the Falcons didn't even belong on the same field.  He had plenty of time in the pocket and did a great job of spreading the ball around.  That Chad Lewis touchdown was definitly good.  The referee was right on top of the play, and the replay showed he managed to drag his right toe in-bounds.  Besides it didn't matter, they would have scored on the next play anyway.

Blew the Pittsburgh/NE game, which I really wasn't solid on.  The Patriots are going to be a great matchup for the Eagles, I'm looking forward to a great Super Bowl.

McNabbs tossing that ball right to the ATL defender hardly undermines the entire game he played to those who are secure in their Eaglehood.

That one play was lucky.  However all in all the Eagles and their D shut down the ATL.  Still I think the Eagles can play better then they did vs ATL.  I dont think they played their best ball or anywhere near it.  Nor did ATL.

Well on to New England.
