Shaq needs to shove a Shaq pack in his face!

Shaq, STFU!  Now is not the time to spew your man pearls of wisdom.

Quote:"But Shaq says he wants Phil to stay. He doesn't want to start over. If Kobe leaves, he says, he'll go out himself and recruit another superstar -- like his "boy" Tracy McGrady, who can opt out after next season. "If Kobe left, a lot of guys would want to come here," Shaq says, "because they know playing with Diesel makes it easier. I can make a phone call to anybody. You kidding me?"

Quote:"That's why my e-mail address is A32DejaVu," he continues. "Because this is the same thing that happened when I wore No.32 in Orlando. You get a young guy, you bring him in, you mold him, but he's got people in his ear and now he thinks he's the man. That's what happened with Penny down there, and that's what's happening here. And I understand they want to go younger. I'm not tripping over that. But if you don't want me here, just let me know. The good thing is, somebody will want this. I've got about five, six good years left."

Shaq wouldn't win with T-mac but ok.........I find it very funny that you can see when the Big Wahhburger gets his feelings hurt.  He makes idiotic comments when he isnt the center of attention.  This interview sounds dated tho.  His comments after the Portland OT victory when asked about Kobe leaving he said he didnt want him to go.

Boy, that's just what the Lakers need -- Shaq and TMac -- two superstars who are both rather "content" with their game and neither one has a drive to win (other than looking good and being the "best" -- at least in their own mind).  PLEASE -- if Kobe walks in and says "trade Shaq and I'm leaving" -- trade him -- let's see, what could we get for Shaq?  The entire Kings squad?  Sorry, don't want them (except for Peja) -- umm, the entire Mavs squad?  I really like Dirk and Finley but I really want a defender in the middle.  Hmm, need to think about this but I would rather have Kobe than Shaq!  Kobe is driven to win -- Shaq is driven to stupid comments, laziness, trying to "look" good -- all that takes priority over basketball for Shaq.

You probably would not sneeze at getting Bibby either.

But any team that does not have Phil Jackson as coach would be hard pressed to want Shaq anyway. What other coach could handle that ego? Even Jackson is thinking about his health and getting away from it all, and you must think most of his headaches involve Shaq, indirectly or directly.

A motivated Shaq is one thing, but a content Shaq who directs which players would come and bask in the supreme light of the Almighty Diesel as they hone their game to suit the mighty moods of the GREAT ONE!

Yeah, I can see them lining up at the door for that experience. They should just ask Malone and Payton how basking in that light has made their Laker experience so enjoyable. And probably short-lived.

Shaq's replacable. I heard a rumor that Shaq is coming to San Anton, and in return, LA would throw bucku bucks to lure Bryant "Big Country" Reeves.

Or ask Kobe....I mean who doesnt love to work hard, train hard, and give it 110% only to be discredited and said that the only reason they are any good is because of Shaq.

Probably the same team that wants to have CWebb, AI, Big Dog, Francis, Marbury, etc.  Welcome to the new and improved NBA.

I'm in a state of shock!   You'd keep Kobe and give up Shaq. Is there no respect for "possibly the greatest center in the history of the league", as Walton likes to put it.

Even with his questionable work ethic, diarrhea of the mouth, and aging body, I think there would still a number of teams interested in Shaq. Whether they can afford him is the bigger issue. I'm also not sure how many years Shaq has left on his contract.
