So Andy REid is responsible for eagles medicority but somehow you seem to think mo cheeks doesn't share the burden of a crappy offensive set being callled?

I don't know how you came to that conclusion from anything I've written.

What do you Phillys think of Pillsbury benching McNabb?

He was going to benched/cut within the next 6 months eventually.

Rebuilding is going to be painful- especially since the division rivals all are probably in better position moving forward.  i doubt Reid lasts through the rebuild.

It's a shame that we can't get rid of Reid and keep McNabb.

Because Lurie can let McNabb go after this season with little, if any, financial consequences...while he still owes Reid a big fat slug of money for the next 2-3 years.

(How perverse is it that NFL coaches' contracts are guaranteed, but the players' contracts aren't?)

See, they talk about how much money they owe them - but seriously - in the grand scheme of Jeffrey Luries portfolio, if Andy Reids salary for 3 years is a 'big chunk' he should be selling the eagles anyway...

I agree, bro...but I think the $$$ is a factor when it comes to Reid...and let's face it, if you replace him with somebody like a Cowher or Billick, there's major scratch there as well...

While Reid certainly brought this franchise back to relevance from the Rhodes/Kotite days, his horrific drafts and the utter waste of the prime of McNabb's career are unforgivable.
