I haven't been a fan of heavy metal music since the 90s when Metallica still put out good music and I could listen to a band like Anthrax yet still be fully happy with it from start to finish.

I am going to the State Fair this evening. Some friends have given us tickets for the Fair that includes seeing Grand Funk Railroad.

Free tickets is just about what it would take.

^^  :D
We're an American Band....
Boy that is an enduring hit.

As to Priest, i only like a couple of their songs, but i do think one of them is amoung the best live rocking songs ever.
You've Got Another Thing Coming.
Sounds like this appearance on Jimmy Kimmel live is only going to be a song or two.  My guess is they have majorly overbooked free audience members and chances of getting in are 20%.

Jimmy Kimmel's stage is not inside the studio for the band always.  They have a separate spot that the bands perform at.  Judas Preist can't be that popular still.....seriously

And yes they tend to only do like 2 or 3 songs

That's 4 or 5 songs too many.  Never did get the appeal of glam-fag-pseudo-metal rock.
"History shouldn't be a mystery"
"Our story is real history"
"Not his story"

"My people's culture was strong, it was pure"
"And if not for that white greed"
"It would've endured"

I am going to the State Fair this evening. Some friends have given us tickets for the Fair that includes seeing Grand Funk Railroad.

Free tickets is just about what it would take.

Went to the fair on Friday. Reluctantly walked over to hear this <aged> band at appointed time. I was greatly mistaken and must admit they sounded so good, I plan on getting one or two CD's of their music now. Would have paid top dollar to hear them play. Clearly, one of the things they have been up to since I last paid much attention to them is learning how to play really, really well.

That last part is mainly why most of the new stuff bores the hell out of me. It is all about the look and the image and nothing at all about being able to play music. Girl singers are a dime a dozen and all sound the same after a while. Boy groups are all about making gang signs and acting tough and sounding exactly like the next one.

Why should I have to go back to the seventies or eighties to hear original band members who play their own music on their own instruments?
