....and now the Kings and Knicks are playing for the Malcontent Award for the early season tonight.
Who will win? The earth shutters in anticipation. Will Marbleberry prevail? Once fined, always tainted, you know.
Or will the John Salmons post-Artest returning do the flopping? Putting up 20 points a game with four assists prior to Ron-Ron's return; now a most unhappy bench player once again, floundering to find his shot with Artest blocking his attempts better then any "other" team's defender ever could, only getting off four shots against Minnesota.
Theus' post-game tirade in the locker room was taken by John as a personal attack, leaving him no choice but to leave the Reggie-ragging in mid-sentence to storm out of the locker room, followed closely by that reknown peace-maker, and cause of his troubles - Ron Artest - who brought him back into the meeting after consoling him. It seems that Theus sees no point in playing both Salmons and Artest at the same time, because both demand the ball. So Salmons (twenty points a GAME Salmons) was reduced to four points against the Timberwolves, and a nasty temper tantrum. Because of the "Reggie Rules" instigated in training camp, John's reaction during his summary of the game must be punished by a fine at the very least.
Is there turmoil brewing out at Arco Arena that can match up with the NY'ers? coming to town.
Well....no....
But what else could possibly spark any interest in this game otherwise.
