I'm still waiting for the truth about this situation to come out, and it has to go much deeper than Mr. Rove, who had no legal right to know the identity of a CIA agent.
In fact outside of the CIA, only the President and the Secretaries of Defense and State have the legal right to know the identity of a CIA agent.
That information is essentially a national secret, an agents usefulness depends on their annonymity. If the President or one of the others told Rove that Plame was Wilsons wife and a CIA agent, and authorized him to go to the press with it, they commited a felony and were engaged in a conspiracy to commit a felony.
Someone inside the administration told Rove. It is not inconceivable that this matter could bring down the Bush admin.
Bush engaged the services of an attorney when the investingation into this matter got under way. I'm not sure why the disclosure process is taking so long.
