Is Big Shot Bob a must sign for San Antone?

Spurs, can you live with the 2005-6 Spurs without HOFer Bob?

I cannot.  Get a deal done.

Horry is a priority for the Spurs, I think right now the priority is to go after Scola and get him into a Spurs uniform already, next player would be Horry, after that you may see devon brown and glenn robinson as possible next signs (Robinson is iffy IMO because of what he should be paid on his next contract.)  Again, the Spurs need to trade Rasho IMO.
On the set of Walker Texas Ranger Chuck Norris brought a dying lamb back to life by nuzzling it with his beard. As the onlookers gathered, the lamb sprang to life. Chuck Norris then roundhouse kicked it, killing it instantly. The lesson? The good Chuck giveth, and the good Chuck, he taketh away.

Yes....just having him around to show the young guys the tricks of the trade and that team first mentality is important.

Y  our psycho x3, our priority is to sign HORRY, not some argentinian euro all star. If it wasn't for Horry, the Spurs would have had their clock cleaned in 6 games, and now, to offer Horry our 1 million exception instead of our $5 million is insane. Scola can wait another year...we need Horry, before he goes to Dallas and BIG SHOT BOBS us out of the playoffs next year!

The young guys and Tim Duncan.

Seriously, did you see how tense Duncan was those finals games when he was on a brickfest at the FT line (and field goals a few games)?

Big Shot Bob can perhaps help Duncan on and off the court to see that missing a shot pales in comparion to having a daughter with a potentially terminal disease.

Maybe Bob can help Duncan to relax at the right times.

concur with sf101.  Whats this longhair Scolas hang up?  Has he got some yuppie agent trying to overmilk his worth?  Get real, look what SuperGNob did and do the same thing.  You're sooo good, then play a year or two and prove it.  Then sign a lucrative deal, ala GNob.  Okay maybe it's his team that is the holdup.  X3 any details on what Scolas team is looking for a buyout?

Your wrong 101, Scola is the real priority this summere for the Spurs, other wise the Spurs could have put to ink Horry's sig.

I dont know how long the Spurs have to sign Scola to the team, but I think this is the year they need to do it.  Pop and Rc have ben hinting at that for some time.  Horry is a Pro, he will wait and see what happens, he knows the Spurs will do thier best for him.

Nobody is argyuing what horry did in the playoffs.  but Scola has been on our radar for years, and this seems to be the best year to get him, the hang up on him was his buyout was too high last year, this year the Spurs are hoping to get his sig on paper finally.  they may still need to buy him out.
