LOL Kevin Love did not make the All Star team?
« on: February 03, 2011, 08:03:41 PM »
Or can Sternfish still name him as a replacement for Yao?

If Love is off, i don't know how it's possible but this joke of a game has taken an even further step back.

Perhaps the only logic is that West coaches who voted wanted Timmy Duncan to get overworked and have no chance of resting during the break?

Yeah, Tim Duncan is going to get over worked because they try so very hard in that basketball game  :D

Reality, Yao Ming was your boy.  You can't throw him under the bus now!

I do like to add I think Blake Griffith should be on the team in place of Lamar Odom (or however it ended up working out)

Love not making the All-Star game is next to criminal.  BUT - who are you actually going to drop from the West team?  Duncan, Nowitzki, Gasol, and Griffin all belong there.  The fans got to choose Durant and Anthony (Anthony looks to me to be the weakest choice).

Perhaps we need "merit" spots on the team, to have larger teams, with players playing fewer minutes.  Then again, I have no idea how to make that work.

I think the answer you're looking for is "Yao and Anthony shouldn't have been voted in by the fans."

FWIW, Yahoo! is reporting that Nash has the edge as the replacement for Yao.

He doesn't play Friday or Saturday.  He is in none of the events.  In fact, I bet he won't even be in the building.

Playing 25 minutes in an all-star game is hardly going to kill him Reality.

To me, it was a no-brainer that he make the team, because his numbers speak for themselves.

20 and 15.

Not since Moses have we seen someone do that over the course of a season, and I'd bet my hat he maintains that line through the end of the year.

For those opposed who think that his production comes from being on a bad team, well ... there've been plenty of terrible teams over the past 30 or so years.  How come it hasn't happened in the meantime?

Love is the only keeper Minnesota has.  If they trade him - for any reason - there's no hope.

Oh $h!t ... didn't they trade Garnett a few years ago?!?!

All~star games suck anyway

Hey Reality!

All one has to think about concerning the entertainment value (?) of all~star games (no matter the sport) is this year's sad sack NFL Pro Bowl.  When the best action of the game was the police hustling an out~of~sorts spectator off the field, you recognize how inane the whole thing is. Putrid, and it wasn't always this way, All~Star games were about pride in your recognition, not a ROTFLMAO session. The Globetrotters and Generals put on a better 'exhibition', and Meadowlark could probably (old) school 'Melo...lol

I won't be wasting my time watching it, that's for sure.
