Brandon Roy out 15 impresses me.  Parker's missed 14.  And San An is just barely ahead in the standings.
:D :D both centers out along with all the others and you're still trying to imply it's equal.
We'd see how Popazit would do with Duncan, Parker and others out.

Batum being out doesn't mean a thing.  He's pretty much one of those replaceable parts that you so typically over-value.  I'd rather have Webster out there in the first place.  He's the starter, after all.  And after all, Bonner has missed at least 17.
You're still jealous of Fabs Obertos Championship contributions.  Oh well.  As to Man From Nazr and Rasho, you are on the board as saying you agree TallBall was a key to the Spurs titles and smallballs was a key to its downfall.

As for the aforementioned pathetic rebounding by Jefferson (averaging a paltry .136 per minute), I'm wondering why you give a pass to other pathetic rebounding small forwards - say, for instance - Bruce Bowen.  After all, Bowen never averaged as much as .136 since he went to the Spurs; his "best" was .116 in 2005-06.  In the Spurs championship years, he was at .093, .108 and .091.  That's *FAR* worse of a job than Jefferson has done this year.  And after all, he's a forward....
Glad to field your questions.  Bowen is not a good rebounder.  However, the Spurs were a top 3 defensive rebounding team in EVERY year, including the multiple championship years with Bowendog.  Add in the fact that Bowen was typically glued to an opposing perimeter player and never even tried to get offensive rebounds ... and one could very easily make the case that Bowen was the better rebounder.  When has Dick Jefferson guarded the other teams top SG or even point guard, as Bowen D'd up on Al Iverson for goodness sake.

Now once Bowen was put in the silly position of having to play power forward, yes his rebounding was horrible.  As was Dick Jeffersons.  Pop-a-Moron has tried to force both of them to play this.  Again, you are on board as agreeing the Spurs with Timmy Dunks getting support from another big, be it Rasho, Man From Nazr, Fabbs Oberto, even in lesser minutes Frankie Elson (2007) was MOST SUPERIOR strategy to the idiotic smallballs initiated with your goon Michael FinleyPop.  Fail.  2007 is an abberation in a 5 year FAILURE.  Both Bowen and Dicks rebounds were hurt by that.  However back to Dick....

Dick Jeffersons rebounding effort:
Jeffersons lack of rebounding is that his effort on the boards is tied to the number of touches he gets. In games that he shoots more than 10 times, he averages a very respectable 5.5 rebounds per game. But in all other contests, he averages an embarrassing 2.6 rebounds per game.

That's just flat out sickening. And there's really no excuse. The coaching staff has been begging him to rebound more but he just doesn't rebound unless he's involved offensively. That's unbelievably lame.

That was in Feb.  Dick has upped his effort the last week or so and Pop has (for a few games) stopped the idiotic smallballs.

Unfortunately, that's the lead clip for this season's Nets highlight reel.
