All-Star Weekend Thread (Thoughts?)
« on: February 14, 2010, 12:14:02 PM »
Though I'd make an all-star weekend thread so we can talk about some of the events and of course the game today itself.  At least for those people who actually ended up watching all the Friday and Saturday events.

Also, all-star game on VALENTINES DAY!?!?!  Can David Stern even attend his own event today?  I know a lot of people who can't watch it because they have plans tonight.

I'm very happy that Olympic coverage is drowning out any interest in the All Star game.

Did you guys see they cut the segment with Mark Cuban when they started to discuss the CBA and potential lock out?  Was that weird or what?

I watched the 3-pt contest but ending up ignoring the other events in favor of "The Office" and "Pawn Stars" on my DVR.

I was out all day Sunday but got home in time to catch the start of the 3rd quarter, ended up watching only 5 minutes of the 2nd half because I was kind of bored, despite LeBron's superhuman plays.  Watched "WSOP-Europe" instead.

Watched the Olympics.  Forgot that the AS game was even on.  Gave up on watching it years ago.

Watched for only a little while, caught a few of Wade's more outstanding moments, including the assist to Dwight Howard for a slam dunk above the rim.  No defense makes for a pretty dull game.  Didn't watch any of the other events, except that celebrity game, which wasn't worth watching.

Shakira did a few of her songs, sexy, but I don't really care for her music.

Turned out to be pretty unentertaining television.
