No, it was in the 07 season when he lost 20 pounds.  He did not lose as much weight with the shoulder injury as he did that year.

And no I didn't just clarify when I was talking about.  I said POST-SHAQ.  Shaq was traded in 04.  Kobe's rape case and shoulder injury was in 03.  So clearly I was not talking about then.  I think YOU were mistaken.

wk,  I am referring too Kobe dropping MUSCLE.  In the summer after the threepeat Kobe looked like Karl Malone around the shoulders and neck.  His neck looked wider, his shoulders were huge and his "guns" were massive.  He looked like a minni Larry Johnson.  He looked like he bulked up to do that he could carry the load since Shaq was at his fattest.  It was not the extra bulk that caused Kobe problem it was an injury.

The best example of what I was explaining was in 2007.  I pasted multiple links to it.  He did not purposely cut weight when he was injured. You need to re-read through this thread again.

I don't think you understood that or I didn't type it out for you to understand.

An injury was not what caused him to slim down that off-season.  It was Kobe's conscious effort to do it for more speed.  Did you even bother to click any of the links in the post or did you just jump to hitting the quote function ala Reality?

I guess I have to S-P-E-L-L it out.  Where did I say he lost weight because of an injury?????????????????  Don't bother looking for it because I did not say it.  What I've been saying all along is that Kobe was at this BIGGEST at the start of the 03-04 season.  He got hurt in the playoffs, had surgery in Colorado, and came back the next year without all the muscles.  I don't know why he came back without the "beef", I just know he looked a lot smaller at the start of the 04-05 season.

In the end it was a shoulder injury in the playoffs, I think against the Wolves, that cost Kobe NOT carrying the extra weight.  Kobe went up for a break away dunk and jammed the ball into the front of the rim and did some major damage to his shoulder.  That injury required off-season surgery and he saw a specialist in Colorado and the reast was history.  That year he didn't really "slim" down as much as his shoulder and arms got a lot smaller, muscle mass reduced significantly.

I bothered and you did.

And don't try to come in here to twist this around by saying 'His arms and shoulders getting smaller is not reducing weight.  Neither is reducing your muscle mass'  because that would be silly.  Losing muscle mass and your body becoming noticeably  smaller is losing weight.

You must be pulling my chain because I know you're not that stupid.
