Tell him he's got it, heh.

We've given everyone currently associated with the board ample time to take one of the 2 teams, now it just becomes a matter of filling it with qualified, competitive people.
He wants it.

He should be emailing you today.

I've got another friend who is interested in the last fantasy league team, assuming everyone is cool with it.  He's not a big follower of basketball, but he is an experienced fantasy league player in other sports.

Also, I've not heard anymore about the lottery.  Are we just waiting to get the spots filled?

The lottery was going to be held the 27th, but since the team's have not yet been filled I haven't done so.  The guy Ted was talking about e-mailed me, but when I asked him which team he'd like he never responded.

Here are the 2 open teams.:
Davis, Baron (PG-NO)
Wallace, Ben (FC, PF-Det)
Pierce, PaulIL (SG-Bos)
Terry, Jason (G, PG-Atl)
Boozer, Carlos (FC, PF-Cle)
Rose, Jalen (GF, G-Tor)
Grant, Brian (FC, C-Mia)
Howard, JoshIL (GF-Dal)
------------------------------
Hinrich, Kirk (G, PG-Chi)
Jefferson, Richard (SF-NJ)
Johnson, Joe (GF, SG-Pho)
Anthony, Carmelo (SF-Den)
Richardson, Jason (SG-GS)
Robinson, Clifford (FC-GS)
McInnis, Jeff (PG, SG-Cle)
McKie, Aaron (GF-Phi)
Magloire, Jamaal (C-NO)
Howard, Juwan (PF, F-Orl)
Stoudemire, Amare (PF-Pho)

Also, does anyone know any good lottery simulation programs?  The only thing I've really found is:
http://www.agribiz.com/merchdiz/RandomGenerator.htm
Enter in 1 ball, with a maximum number of 6 (with 1 being the 7th place finisher, 2 being the 8th place finisher, and so on), and assign order that way.  then doing the same thing for teams 1-6.

Of course, then people would have to trust them that I'm not screwing them :)

I'll let my friend, Travis Schoengarth, know about the team and make sure he still wants in.

Grr.  Yeah, I think you'd better.  I can't get hold of Travis;  he may be out-of-town, but then again, he may be tied up with something else.  I just don't know.

Hey, Ziggy - put some pressure on Caleb about joining up with us.  He's a friend of mine and Skander's, and if you were to ask him, he'd probably get involved.  He's started following basketball a lot more closely this off-season, and I think he'd do it if you were to ask.

Ok will do.  If he plays basketball does that mean you will play baseball next year?

I sent him an email, and did a little begging.  He is a very good baseball player, so I hope he does it because he will be a good basketball coach.  No reposnse yet, but I will hound for a few days.

Man, you guys sure are a pain in the rear.   :D

Okay, you talked me into it.  After giving it a lot of thought, I'll give it a shot and do my absolute best not to be the league's whipping boy.

AWESOME!  Great to have you on-board, Caleb.

For those of you who don't know Caleb, he's a friend of mine and Skander's, a great guy to talk sports with, competitive but not a jerk about it, and an all-around nice guy.

Plus, my understanding is that GenHexxed is sharing his stolen copy of Basketball Jihad's list of players he wants to draft this year with him!

great.  i'm going to start the lottery now (since it was supposed to happen June 27th).

I'm using this as a lottery generator:
http://www.agribiz.com/merchdiz/RandomGenerator.htm
With 1 ball and 6 numbers drawn.  I'll post screenshots as they happen.

I'm breaking it into 2 groups, the non-playoff teams (who will get choices 1-6), and the playoff teams (getting choices 7-12).

For non-playoffs teams, here are the numbers:
1 Bod
2 BBF
3 Spurs3X
4 Caleb
5 Randy
6 Ted
(*NOTE* this order was based on finish.  All numbers have an equal chance of being selected.  The order of finish was just to assign abitrary # values).

I will post screenshots of each selection.  If a # has already been picked, it will just be ignored.

Starting now...
