According to sf1976, the rumoed deal is miller, evans and rush for Sergio, Outlaw, LaFrentz, and a possible pick.

Interesting.  Sergio is nice and flashy and all, but I'd probably prefer Blake over him for this team.

Given their salaries, would you rather have Outlaw+Sergio or Blake?

I would think Outlaw alone is more valuable than Blake, so even if he does not fit he can be flipped for another player.

Outlaw's the more valuable player, Blake's the better fit.

I'd probably go with Outlaw.

Make it Outlaw and a pick as sf1976 reports is a possibility and I am more interested, presuming we are talking about a protected first rounder.  I think Outlaw is a good fit for the team, especially if it means the disappearance of more of Green's minutes, plus he and the pick become more assets for a future trade.  Sergio is a shot in the dark at PG, as would be starting Lou at PG, neither is the answer, but Miller leaving after this season is not the answer either.  IMO, Stefanski and DiLeo either need to pull off another deal before the deadline or use the rest of the season to evaluate Sergio and Lou and very likely need to move on a better PG this summer.

I'm not a big fan of either Rodriguez or Outlaw - I'd rather have Blake.

This team has youth, I'd prefer a veteran who can shoot the 3 and run the team.

If Rodriguez were any good, why would Portland be in the market for a PG?

It's a matter of fit.  Nate likes set offense...Sergio likes the open floor.  The Blazers have a 7-foot man-mountain in the middle...and if you are concerned about how Brand fits in with us (and after the game tonight, there will be a LOT of people asking Stefanski and DiLeo that question), it certainly makes sense that with Oden and Roy in place, they want more of a traditional PG to run the show.

(I can't believe that Evans played C in the 4th quarter tonight over Brand)

*shakes head*

Brand may be having more problems with the shoulder according to the post-game show, plus I think DiLeo was playing the hot energy guy in Reggie.  Damn, we lose when we play poorly down the stretch and when we play well down the stretch.

Yeah...heard that too.

No reason to hold onto Miller now.
