When the Cavs started scoring it shut down the Sixers running game.

The Cavs shot 52% in the first half - so they were scoring then as well...

Wrong! When they shot they did fine, but they turned the ball over so they fell behind anyway.

I hope that Brand is still struggling with the Hammy, and this has nothing to do with the achilles.  I think they need to shut him down until he is healthy.

2 Min for Speights and only 20 min for Young.  Mo has chosen who he wants to live or die with.  I'm not pleased, actually stronger words, but its not worth it for this team right now.

This is what will sound the death knell for Cheeks with Stefanski.

Mo's definitely trying to re-create last year.  Willie starting again, Thad off the bench, Reggie getting minutes over Evans, and lots of small ball.

Joy.

Are you referring to the 1st half of last year?

If he wants to grasp at straws, he might as well start Green over Sam and move Thad to PF.  At least that creates tempo and keeps Thad on the floor.

Actually, they should probably shut don Brand for a few weeks so he can heal.

I just heard something on 610 about an alarming quote from Iguodala after last night's game, but had to leave before I could hear what was said.  Anyone hear anything about that?

Found this in a google news search '11 hours ago'

Quote
"We didn't have the mental toughness down the stretch," ... "We kind of gave in. I'm not saying that as a team we didn't play hard, but we didn't execute and we didn't get the stops we needed"

Here's a 'fuller' version from fagans deep sizer recap

Quote
"It was more us than them," said Andre Iguodala. "I think we didn't have the mental toughness down the stretch. We just gave in. We aren't executing the way we should be on both ends of the court. We have to get it done. Games keep coming so we have to get it back tomorrow."

Excellent timing my friend.

Enjoy the game tonight.  You will be one of the privileged few to witness the beginning of the DiLeo era.  Some day many will have claimed to be there :D  These Sixers will final be unleashed!

Or, at least better now that Mo is gone.

Do you think Iguodala's quote was the final nail in the coffin?  I mean no one really believed that they'd win either game against the Cavs, even without Ilgauskis, did they?

No, I think Ed did not want to throw a new coach to the wolves facing a home and home against the leagues hottest team.

Maybe if the has shocked the world and swept the Cavs Mo would have lived to fight another day- but I think Ed was planning to fire him after the Cav's games so that the new coach gets to hit the ground running against a few lesser teams.
