My comments in ()

-Elton has not been an issue: 17/10/1.5 guy
-Inconsistent, lack style of play from last year.
-Starts with defense.  Lack energy.  don't deny the ball.  Lack early offense. (I dissagree, just not as good at it)
-Lack personell as a 1/2 court team (Isn't that why we get Brand?)
-Turnovers, unforced
-We knew we lack great shooters.
-Mused about maybe shift WG back to SG and Dala to SF.

? about Iguodala as a shooter:
-Missing his shots.  Other production good.  They throught he would drop to 18ppg not 13ppg.

-Scoring a problem
-Brand can be a great trailer hitting the short jumper.  Should not prevent them from running.
-Andre Miller- has not played up to last year.  "I don't know why"  Andre has to get them quicker in the offense

? Mo Cheeks practices, what is Mo telling them
- Not transfering from practice to the court.  "The strangest damn thing"
-Have to go back to a more agressive defense and more sharing, less isolation.

?Trade/Panic
-Ears are open.  Not a lot of action going on.
-"We did not think we would be playing like this."

?How long is Mo safe
-Won't comment.  Mo is our coach, the players are our players.  I won't go down that road.  We got to win tonight.  I am looking at everyone.

-No reason we should not be a much better team than we are right now.
-Need to get back to where the team was successful last year.  Turnovers, turnovers, yada, yada, yada.
-No pressure from Snider or Luuko.  I put pressure on myself.

Eskin says:  I would not call that a vote of confidence for Cheeks.

Duh?

I can almost guarantee he'll jump on the 'it's all iguodalas' fault bandwagon and defend cheeks

I have rarely seen a team where the terms "mystifying" and "strangest damn thing" , etc get used so often.  I don't see why anyone has a problem with blaming the defense for the way the team is playing now, they are horrible on both ends of the court.  Some say the offense needs the defense to create easy shots (another way of saying your offense sucks) while Sammy even noted that when they play poorly on offense it carries over to a poor showing on the defensive end.

What it all adds up to is Mo being toast unless there is a dramatic turn around in the level of play very soon.

Cause that's not true actually - they are about 'average' defensively and putrid offensively - there are numbers to back this up

Both might be weak, but the offense is much weaker and if you can't score you can't win :)

Word, jem.

Not that I am saying that defense isn't important, but there is no freaking way that this team can win games with the offense they are rolling out.

From Fagan's chat and Ed's interview, it sounds like Willie Green will be a starter soon.

Somehow I have a hunch that the answer in no way involves Willie Green.

This is where i start - this is where i say 'offense is much worse than defense' - start sorting by the four factors
