Bracket Challange
« on: April 15, 2004, 10:21:11 AM »
This challenge will be tracked like the NCAA tournament.  Each person will pick their bracket to the finals and eventual winner.  Number of victories in each round will not be necessary just pick who will advance.  Only entries posted before the start of Saturday's games will be valid.  Points will be awarded on the following basis:

first round series   5 pts   40 total possible
second round       10 pts  40 total possible
conference finals  20 pts  40 total possible
championship       50 pts  50 total possible

For the tie breaker each player will pick the games for the finals and total losses for the champion  (e.g. 4-2, 6).

Eastern:

Indiana/Boston

Miami/NO

NJ/NY

Detroit/Milw

Randy, you might want to go back and reread the first post in this thread. You left out your tiebreaker information. And you have to pick the whole bracket through to the finals now.

Also, the first-round series has been the best of seven games since last year. In other words, Indiana and Detroit cannot win their first-round series in three games.

thanks for reminding me about the seven-game round first series -- I'm just used to short series with the Lakers.

And I didn't read the whole post so I will have to edit, thanks.

so far in round 2 laker fan and I are the only ones to still remain perfect...

a lot riding on these game 7's tho.

EDIT: *BOOYAH*  Still perfect.

You guys are lucky Kidd and KMart pussed out at the end of the regular FNBA season.  If I had won FNBA (for the 2nd year in a row, I might add), NCAA tournament bracket, and playoff bracket, you guys would never hear the end of it ;)
