Sixers get their first on the court regular season look at Derrick Rose - I doubt Miller will be able to guard this guy

Again, I'm not worried about wins or losses any more, I want to see how the players react to the lambasting in Boston and how the coaching works...Mo looked like for one game about a week ago he got the whole substitution thing, but he seemed to lose it after that one game.

It's a 5 PM start for those of us on the East Coast.

Thaddeus having a great game, Speights showing again why he's 10x better than Dalembert.

Just start Speights already and actively shop Sam - the bulls could use him i bet - or be conned into it?  I mean they're an awfully short team

Andre Miller's Expiring Contract is slow.

Fixed.  Gotta love when the other team goes on a 20-2 run -_-.  Somehow we still end the half with a 3 point lead.

The Bulls not fully taking advantage of their ability to pick and roll the Sixers to death until the 2nd quarter.  While the Sixers falling in love with the outside shot.

Is that what a point guard looks like?

More like superstar in training.  Its not his PG skills so much as his amazing handle/athletic ability/poise.  He is like a cross between a young Jason Kidd (handle/size/awareness without quite the passing) and DWade (ability to blow by his man and get to the rim while still being a team player.)

I would think more of Nash or Paul as a prototypical PG.

Nice offense.  Stand around and have Miller shoot with <5 sec left.  Must be their favorite "set", since they've run it every time down the floor.

These guys look disinterested.  Last year's squad did not seem so easily defeated- but who knows, maybe they'll go on a run?

I know there was some stat site that said the Sixers were supposed to be good last year... but they started Green and Evans.  That was having the NBA's worst starters at 2/5 positions, and then you throw in Sam, who you can't let touch the ball.  There was every reason for THAT team to start out horribly.  They turned it around when the put Thad out as a starter.

This team was supposed to be good.  Heck, at very least they should have a mismatch in the post on offense with either Miller, Thad, iguodala or Brand- but apparently they feel posting up smaller guards is dishonorable, or just not part of the offense.

Likewise, the defense was suposed to be long and active on the wings, with good rebounders and shot blockers in the lane.  Of course that is moot when you can't guard a pick and roll at any level.

Granted this is a small thing...

2.5 sec left in the third, Sixers inbounding the ball- and Mo leaves Evans on the floor.  His man leaves him to be an extra defender.  Come on, that is just stupid?  I know the team has given up, but the coach can't do that as well.
