Day Before Thanksgiving Productivity - Anyone?
« on: November 26, 2008, 12:31:01 PM »
So i'm cleaning my desk for goodness sakes today - the poor weather doesn't help - it's cold and rainy here makes for dreary type atmosphere naturally - any one else?

gf was lucky enough to take her 'second half of the year' floating holiday today - extra long holiday

Rain is bad for our buisness, so it's very slow today.  I have some testing I can finish up but we've already been told we can take off early if we want.  One good thing about Holiday weeks is things are less hectic so you can get caught up on stuff.

Govt employees barely work as it is.  Not a single client we deal with is doing ANYTHING today.  I finished up what I needed to do already and I am kind of mad.  Nothing to do until clocking out time.

IMO you got the better end of the deal unless Marion gets traded and blows up.  I'm not sure who your keepers are going to be though, your selection looks pretty weak.

Well Thaddeus Young looks like one so far but I'm not sure how much of that is sixer bias, and if scott skiles gets his crap together i think i know who the second one might be - my front court doesn't exactly have a lot of keepers either - and there's always rashard lewis.

It's early though - don't know for sure yet.

Very busy and it's govt work.   I work in the court system and with the economy in the tank the amount of lawsuits has skyrocketed, particularly suits on credit card debt and mortgage foreclusures.  Plus the phones and the front counter have been surprisingly busy.

Must be nice.  The day before holidays is typically one of the busier ones.  Of course, I guess that's life on a startup.

I spent most of thanksgiving working from home last year deploying servers.

I am moderately busy...mostly trying to figure out why one of our critical softwares is screwed up.  But still get early release (3:00) for good behavior.   ;)

I guess I should be more specific....

The government agencies that maintain and builds roads and the public utilities have not done a damn thing today.

Due to a variety of delays and my bosses loose grasp of the concept of town i was running 90 minutes behind and it turns out that I was so eager to get out of there I actually forgot to slice the image, create the link and the product that I was there for.  And I realized it this morning in the shower - so had to go to work for 35 minutes....I was headed down there anyway due to some coworker incompetence my amazon delivery was delayed until yesterday and i wanted those books to do some reading and relaxing this weekend, but had to actually open the door and boot the computers.

But I got my thankgiving miracle, coworker who needed to go found new job and gave notice...excellent charlie brown
