I had head somewhere that they were going to be the OKC Wildcatters.  I thought it was a good name, but I guess it was just someones idea, and not the official name.

The fact that that is the most appropriate name is just one of many reasons the long term success of the NBA at OKC has a less than 50% chance in my estimation

Very appropriate.  I read a story last year about this UT fan who was driving through OK and stopped at a bar to watch ok vs UT, the moron was of course wearing his UT shirt, drank some beers, talked some smack with the locals - all the while think NOBODY would get THAT crazy over FOOTBALL - up until one drunk fan (I don't even think the guy WAS a sooner, bt he was from OK) grabbed the guys nads and squeezed em until they came out.. they guy was lucky in that they were able to "put them back."   I came across the story in our local newspaper, I think the trial in regard to the case was about to start or something like that.  freaking crazy okies....

Sorry, but texas can't ever take the 'higher ground' in the lunatic devotion to non professional football...I'd bet make it a texas bar and a sooner fan and the same thing happens (and maybe a lynching or two while we at it)

I live in Texas!  I see these things everyday....but yeah, the guy IS a moron for not knowing better.

Well, metaphorically, yes, texas is a pretty gay state and i don't know why anyone would even visit there.

But in terms of demogrphically?

1.  San Francisco
2.  Austin (at least it used to be, probably still pretty high)

Besides, like i said, I was being metaphorical...like if you're friends said 'hey let's go visit texas', you'd say, nah, that's too gay, let's go to vermont instead.
