That's slightly more palatable I guess...but it still seems slanted towards the sixers...talent wise and even contract wise since willies contract is too long.

Nope.

Thad's going to be a better player than Love.  Significantly.

I'm only lukewarm about Foye.  I'd take him, but I wouldn't give up something of real value for him.

Mike Miller's in enough of my long term plans to give up Thad for.

Thad goes in a package deal for a superstar.  Nothing less.

The total money paid is less for the T'wolves.  I don't see them being big players in 2010 even if they have cap room.  I figured Willie would help them more this year to replace Miller.  I would not be completely adverse to throwing in a protected first rounder in what appears to be a weak draft this year.

Can someone tell me about Mike MIller - I hear a lot about him but never really seen him play a lot - i know he has a goofy haircut and that's about it

Generally, a bigger, stronger, somewhat faster version of Kyle Korver, with a Lou Amundsonian sense of style with the hair.

So - he could start?

ESPN lists him as a 2 guard, can he defend two guards really?

Ok - after reading a little more, and a career 40% 3pt fg and a not bad contract (expires in the magic summer) i'm willing to give them miller for miller straight up.

Maybe even a protected future pick if they'll do it just for miller...

I don't think foye wold be getteable as he still exists more on hype than actual play

He is not as slowfooted as KK, but he is an Andre Miller type defender. he basically just tries to play off his man and get bye without taking too much pride in his defense.

He can shoot and makes decent decisions with the ball.

Regardless of the issues that would follow immediately thereafter would people be in favor of a 'miller for miller' trade?  The wolves stink - and are 10 mil over the cap this year - and that extra years savings might mean something to cheapo taylor...?

If you want a short term replacement for our Miller, they would probably throw Sebastian Telfair into the mix with us adding someone like Rush to even out the salaries.  I would think about it very strongly.  tk is right on about Miller, he would be an ideal sixth man because his defense is below average, but he has started for most of his career, for bad teams mind you, and could work into a rotation with Thad and Iggy, with Thad getting some time at PF and Lou playing both roles off the bench.

He was the NBA 6th man of the year in 2006, but he has typically started.  His numbers have always been good in terms of %'s and productivity, and he only has 2 years left on his contract.

I do worry about having no money left to get a legit PG.  It seems like Andre Miller's 10M needs to go to a PG, unless somehow they can get one in exchange for Sam.

There's not gonna be a whole lot of money thrown around this summer.  Something like a 3 year MLE deal could get a guy like Mike Bibby it looks like.  Plus, this draft is probably the most PG-rich draft of the decade.

3 years for Mike Bibby?  God I hope not

PG rich draft?

Chris Paul and Deron Williams were in the same draft - this decade- right?

I meant depth-wise.  There's really no stars in this year's draft outside Blake Griffin it seems.
