I heard SOMETHING about a health issue, asdie from the stress fracture, but no one made it clear, NBA probably in CYA mode so there's a reason that arthur doesn't get drafted.

Who cares about MSG?

Willie Green is not worth a first round pick.

The San Antonio Spurs have made a pick

It's George Hill - bummer

Oh believe me I know he isn't...  But it was wishful thinking.. Maybe it could be an outdated bag of chips

Wo
Hm...I'll follow up on that.  I was told it's a stress fracture.

One way or another, it's obvious teams are scared off about his health. If he didn't submit to tests then he sort of deserves to fall. Teams can't be expected to give guaranteed contracts to highly questionable players.

First pick of the 2nd round...  Once the garunteed contract is gone, Arthur is gone...

So I'm quite shocked.. This isn't just my SU homerism talking. I cannot believe Greene is still there too.  Every mock I saw had him top 15 and I atleast expected him to be gone by the 20th pick.  I'll go on record now saying that in 3 years whoever gets him is going to have one of the top 5 players of this draft.

Some clips of Tony DiLeo played on CSN. DiLeo basically said that Speights is a good post-up player who should get better but he will not have a major role on the team unless he develops the way Thad did.

i really hope we are on the phone talking to teams trying to get Arthur for money and a future second.
PhenomThad31's wishlist
1. Trade up and draft Eric Gordon
2. Pray to God Anthony Randolph slips to 16
3. Package Pick and WG for later pick to draft Greene, Aurthur, Speights, Ajinca, Jordan or whoever of the 5 slip into the 20's.

That would be nice...I think he has it in him if he works at it...i'm hoping the sixers get some summer league run this year.

Andy Katz says that it's a kidney issue for arthur even though he came up clean in testing at UK

the 27th pick is the blazers again

Apparently Stefanski didn't show for his pre-scheduled media appearance and is still in the War Room so there could be something going on even though Ed has given no one an indication that he would try and trade back into the draft.

Yeah I just heard that... That makes this situation even more odd in my eyes.

you know if the sixers are going to buy into the second round to draft someone - deandre jordan is still there, i'd prefer him for non guaranteed money than arthurt...he can understudy sam and maybe turn into what sam was....early on all sam did was block shots if you recall :)

he probably didn't think he'd still have a shot at 2 of his 'top 3 guys' this late in the draft

If Speights comes in and has a good preseason, he could see major minutes.  There really is very little in his way at the PF position.  He should at LEAST see 10-15 minutes at the start of the season.  He has to develop, but unlike some of the other "project" PF prospects, he can get buy with his size and rebounding while he develops.
