What an ending. ::)

Props to Pats for keeping their cool in the stretch.
Indy a one hit wonder after Bowling last year?
Indy dbs were nails all game and then meltdown on the longball twice in the last 5 minutes.
I thought Indy dbs were the difference and had picked Indy.

I thought Indy dbs were the difference and had picked Indy.

Indy had EVERYTHING go their way and they still lost.  They are clearly outclassed, if it wasn't for all those calls against the Pats it might have been a blow out.  Indy got alot of Spurs-like luv from the refs, they must be betting on games as well.

Has the trifecta ever been done in the the majors, NFL MLB NBA?

Part of it would depend on what year you use for the Super Bowl.  For example does the 2007 NFL champion mean the Colts who won the SB last January 2007?  Or will it be the team that wins in Jan 2008?  Either way the city of Boston cannot win the trifecta.  Boston can claim baseball's 2007 champ but San Antonio claims the 2007 basketball champ.  If the new look Celtics win it will be in June 2008 and baseball will be into a new season.


For MLB & NBA there are two times that the same city could celebrate...

1988  Lakers and Dodgers

2002  Lakers and Angels
