Durants wingspan 7-4 3/4ths
« on: June 06, 2007, 11:14:13 PM »
Wider then Odens!  It's all downhill after that tho.  What was Pippens wingspan?

article:
According to the Times, Durant was the only prospect at camp who failed to bench press 185 pounds, and finished behind Oden in some key drills, including the vertical leap, agility drill and three-quarter court sprint.

Oden jumped 34 inches in the vertical leap while Durant jumped 33½ inches, completed the agility drill in 11.67 seconds to Durant's 12.33 seconds, and finished the three-quarter court sprint in 3.27 seconds, ahead of Durant's 3.45 seconds, according to the report.   :o  Was Durant slacking or is Oden just that fast?

Durant, however, had a 7-4¾ wingspan, which ranked second among all prospects and measured a half-inch wider than Oden's wingspan.

One interesting note.
Durant was 24" standing and 33" when running
Oden jumped 32" from a standing spot, 34" when running
32" leap from a standing spot, with a 7-4 1/4" wing span.  The man was born to block shots.
A third-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking with the majority. A second-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking with the minority. A first-rate mind is only happy when it is thinking.

A quotation is a handy thing to have about, saving one the trouble of thinking for oneself.

Case concluded.  Anyone who was not already picking Oden over Durant and is not now on the Oden #1 bandwaggon is to be remaned to the same cell area as Paris Hilton.

In the bogus but fun rumor dept, someone had Melo Anthony to Port for Oden.  A Nuggets fan actually had the gall to suggest Denver would not be so stupid. :D :D  No wayy Portland does that deal.  Then it was brought up AI and MarshMello for Oden.  I still would not touch that with a 100 foot pole.  Deenied!

Some realistic ones might be...Zig.  Keep Oden I'm just having fun and/or asking what would it take to truly consider?
Duncan for Oden and Roy.  I would absolutely consider it from Spurs point of v.  (money geeks just roll with it)
Kobe, Bynum, Odom for Oden.  No way, don't do it Portland.
Nash and Stoudamire for Oden.
Dwight Howard and .....naw no one else on Magic roster.
