What are your projections for teams in both conferences (in terms of playoff ranking)

Let's see how close our resident experts can get at almost blindly picking where teams will fall come playoff time.

1 - Dallas
2 - PHX
3 - Timberwolves
4 - SA
5 - Lakers
6 - Kings
7 - Denver
8 - Utah

Are we only concerned with the top 8 in each conference?

WC:

1. Dallas
2. Phoenix
3. San Antonio
4. Clippers
5. Denver
6. Sacramento
7. T-wolves
8. Lakers

Lakers would be higher if Kobe was healthy now.

EC:

1. Miami
2. Chicago
3. Cleveland
4. Detroit
5. Philadelphia
6. New Jersey
7. Washington
8. Milwaukee

I thought it would be a good starting point but others can be tossed in.  I pretty much saw the EC the same way you did except I don't know if Detroit will be that much lower then Philly.  They still have a solid squad just missing that player that puts them to the top of the pack.

3. Miami (Shaq will miss min 20 games but be ready for playoffs)

7. Orlando
8. Milwaukee


* - forced into top 4 due to division winner.

I officially do not care what their regular season record ends as.
I want the Spurs healthy for the playoffs.
If it comes with icing as top seed, fine.
