Lamar Odom, Smush Parker, Andrew Bynum, and a second rounder to Minnesota for Garnett.  You essentially give Minnesota 2 starters and a promising big man and a pick for Garnett.

Joe, all I can say is from your mouth to God's ear.  Or, in this case, to McHale's ear.

I'd pull the trigger on that deal in a heartbeat.  Not sure Minny would, but KG could screw them to the wall and force a trade, which I'm actually starting to believe will happen.

At some point, KG is going to tell Minny to trade him -- and Minny really NEEDS to trade him if they are just going to go through another rebuilding phase.  I've seen comments about bringing Marbury back -- man, does anyone else think that's just   ?

Marbury hasn't proven that he makes a team better -- he leaves Phoenix (who replace him with Nash) and suddenly Phoenix is a legit team -- Marbury goes to NY to be "the man" and the only thing he can do is try and get the world to believe that Brown is one of the worst coaches to have ever walked the planet!

I'm not sure that the Lakers really could entice Minny to trade KG -- but Parker, Odom, and Bynum or Kwame (along with a second rounder) might really make them think about it.  They could also jettison Hudson along with the deal and clean some salary room in the process.

You want real suggestions?

Okay, how about these:

Lamar Odom, Smush Parker, Andrew Bynum, and a second rounder to Minnesota for Garnett.  You essentially give Minnesota 2 starters and a promising big man and a pick for Garnett.

Stephon Marbury to Houston for expiring contracts.  New York gets out from under Marbury and his hefty contract, and Houston gets the point guard it needs.

Al Harrington and young filler to New York for Stephon Marbury.  Atlanta needs a point guard, and the Knicks need a big man.
Sounds like LA is giving a lot, but msc is correct.  LA is the big winner in that one.

MN can shop KG and will recieve a ton of interest.  Not saying your LA idea is not a valid one Joe, but MN will get a better offer then that.

ATL getting Marbury.  They just went thru giving Joe Johnson the keys to the kingdom so he could play point guard.  Even if Joe switches it back to shooting guard, you would give up Al Harrington.  How does ATL come out ahead?  Lopsided deal in favor of NY.

Randoph you yet again offer up nothing.  <Default post>

Hmm, you've listed how many trades and yet again you offer up nothing!  You want to tell me that the only trades that you could think of were stupid ones that make no sense?   :eek2:

Reality,

I think Atlanta comes out just fine in that Harrington may not figure in to their future, and Atlanta really needs something more than their current crop of (disap)point guards.  Getting Marbury gives them a legitimate point guard.

As for Minnesota getting a bigger offer for Garnett?  Let's see one that a team is willing to make.  I offered LA's future big man, a current star level player, and their young starting point guard PLUS a pick for JUST Garnett.  And if I were Minnesota, I'd at least ask for a signed confession that they had Kobe Bryant's word on a contract signing before they traded Shaq just so that they can point and say, "See!  We're not the only ones doing that Joe Smith kind of thing!" in addition to everything else.

I don't think Minnesota will get as much as you think they'll get - which is why I don't think Garnett is going ANYWHERE.
