UCLA vs Florida

Florida is actually favored but UCLA has the better defensive team.  Who do you go with and why?

I said Florida last week and I'm sticking with it.  UCLA is very impressive but I think that with the injury to their center Floridas array of speedy big men will make the difference.

UCLA's excellent starting guards are both sophs and the excellent guard Collison of the bench is just a freshman.  If these guys stick around UCLA looks like it could put a chokehold on the PAC 10 for the next couple years.  Of course in this day and age it's hard to imagine all three will stay 4 years.

Well that was a much bigger win for the Gators than I expected.  They played really smart ball out there.

Also I know it didn't take a genius to figure this out but let me pat myself on the back for predicting that Florida's depth up front would be a deciding factor.  Noah set a finals record for blocks (he had 6 and it sure looked like he had a 7th) and the bigs got layups early with low post passing and later on they got dunks when the guards beat the UCLA pressure.

I was pretty suprised myself.  Honestly I thought the game was going to do down to the wire but instead the Gators jumped out early and got it done.  UCLA seemed to almost give up on themselves once they got down early and the Gators were the exact opposite.  Much Props to them.  A friend of mine in Florida is all giddy today...so much so he decided to send a text message at 5 am rubbing it in because I thought UCLA was gonna upset FL.

Noah was everywhere last night and if anyone was pumped up for the big game it was him.  The coach put him on the bench to rest and hes over there jumping around so he was put back in almost as if to say 'well if you are going to jump around do it in the game and not on the sideline'
