I didn't even know about it until I saw your post.  To be honest, I thought Steven was doing ok and we needed him because Sam can't stay out of foul trouble.

I don't like this move as we don't have any other backup centers.

OK, so the guy was a stiff, but he still could fill the lane and hit an open shot, and he gave us 6 more fouls at the center spot.

We'll have to see if Billy has anything else planned...

No they didn't.

It was Toronto (not Philly) who traded Aaron Williams to the Hornets for 2 second round picks.

I thought I read that....or am I on crack?

Philadelphia 76ers President Billy King announced today that the Sixers have traded center/forward Steven Hunter to the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets in exchange for two second round picks in the 2006 and 2007 NBA Drafts.

Actually, you were right too (I was just more right --   ) -- the Raps are getting one next year and one in 2009.  Seems like the Hornets don't think much of 2nd round picks, huh?

The Toronto Raptors announced Tuesday they have acquired two future second-round draft picks from the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets in exchange for centre Aaron Williams. The first pick will be in this year’s draft and was originally the property of the Miami Heat. The other pick is the Hornets’ 2009 selection.

word is that it's a precurser to a trade exception for Eric Williams deal

(76ers couldn't trade for Eric Williams before without going over the luxury tax, which they don't want to do)

Meanwhile, I'm wondering if this means the Hornets are thinking about unloading P. J. Brown.  The guy is ancient, but still heavily desirable if you're in contention.  Think what the guy might do for a team like Dallas.
