Marlins or Saints?

Nice to see the Marlins looking at us seriously.  Apperantly our weather here is a big deal to them, it means a lower cost of building a stadium here because they would not need the retractable roof.  It's going to be interesting to see how long SA lasts against Portland, Las Vegas, etc.  I dont know if they will really build here or not, but it's nice to see them looking our way.

As for the Saints, Tagliabue is looking like he is getting a soft spot in that stone cold heart of his for us....we will get SOME games here next season after all.  That's cool I guess.  I am still not sure the Saints are gonna stay in Louisiana, New Orleans is NOT going to recover the way Mayor Nagin would hope it would, and Baton rouge just flat out does not support the Saints, The Big team there is LSU, the NFL just is not thier choice there.  I think they are even LESS profitable in Baton Rouge than they were in New ORleans - and to top it off they are selling tickets CHEAPER in Baton Rouge, it's pathetic.  So I am not so sure SA is really OUT of the running for an NFL team as much as the NFL would like to make it sound.

By the way, what do you two think of this HollyHills developer?  I don't know about them, they seem really shady.  You know, I can get behind the Indy Racing project - because Indy Racing is actually here talking about coming back to SA - but these guys are talking about building a venue for Racing, an MLB stadium, and a professional football stadium...and they are saying 80 percent private investor backing on all of this...honeslty who is going to invest in this thing???  What really freaked me out is that the Owner of the Red Berry Mansion has already agreed to sell HollyHills his property and they are moving in to take over the Golf course there as well.  I dont know, these guys look like con men to me, maybe it's just too good to be true and that's why I don't trust them.  It just looks like they are suckering people to get in on this project - which will run over a billion atleast - and then may leave that whole side of town high and dry.  I am wondering though if they are whispering anything to the Saints and the Marlins at all.  No Way could this city support NBA, MLB AND NFL - not yet anyway - two leagues, yes, but not all three.  ANyway, hardly see anything from either one of you, figure I would post and see if you have an opinion on all of this.
On the set of Walker Texas Ranger Chuck Norris brought a dying lamb back to life by nuzzling it with his beard. As the onlookers gathered, the lamb sprang to life. Chuck Norris then roundhouse kicked it, killing it instantly. The lesson? The good Chuck giveth, and the good Chuck, he taketh away.
