intersting...Miami the team to beat already?
« on: August 05, 2005, 11:22:04 AM »
I am still susupect over the trade they pulled, they had good chemistry.  Now they got Walker and Williams, both could aggitate a team, however Posey and if they add Finley to the mix they could be a killer squad this season.  Still though, we got the rings baby so bring it on!   B)

On the set of Walker Texas Ranger Chuck Norris brought a dying lamb back to life by nuzzling it with his beard. As the onlookers gathered, the lamb sprang to life. Chuck Norris then roundhouse kicked it, killing it instantly. The lesson? The good Chuck giveth, and the good Chuck, he taketh away.

Reality is a writer a SI now?  Crazy!

SA still is and will be, until they get knocked out of the playoffs, the team to beat in this league.  Currently they are the team with the most success, the most talent, the best defense, and the most expierence in the playoffs.

I love how one trade involving two question marks automatically makes them the team to beat.

Somebody is just shaking the trees to see how many nuts fall out -- that's got to be the reason for getting this excited about Miami.  While they do have some pluses -- they also have alot of questions (mainly William, Walker and chemistry).

This writer has to be trying to get people excited because he's nuts to choose Miami before he sees how things play out!

On no Miami has the Most Dominant Ever, the one who is clearly better then Duncan.

How could anyone object to Miami over SA being a lock?

Imma start calling you Chubby Checker with all the twisting you are doing...You are comparing careers in another thread and think it applies here   You want so badly for people to agree that Duncan has the better career than Shaq yet not even SA fans can help ya out.  This is a team sport and while one player can make or break a team they are not the only single deciding factor.

Simple answer for a simple poster

The path to the championship goes thru SA.  They are the defending champs and at this point they are the favorite to win unless otherwise knocked out of the running.

Simple twist from a simple Nozer.  "Shaq is soo much better but I favor SA over them."

I couldn't care less that anyone didn't pick any other way then how they wanted to.

We've talked about lying before.  Stop it.

This shows how stupid you are....

You are comparing one player to a team.  SA has the better team and Shaq is the better player between him and Duncan.  This is a simple concept that even a moron of your caliber can grasp.

The Most Dominant Player of over 4 decades, with Dwayne Wade and co can't beat SA.

Keep backpedaling.

Actually, SA and Miami met twice last year -- once with Wade out (SA won that one) and once with both teams having a full squad (Miami won that one).

You might check your facts before stating that Miami can't beat SA -- they have already proven that they can!

The favorite is almost allways the team that one it last.  It 's why Detroit was favored to go on and win in the finals last season.  As it turns out the prediction was wrong, but that's the way it works.

It's bad from to pick another team, especially before the season even starts.  Based on that San Antonio shou'd be favored to win the whole thing, and Detroit should again be in the finals against them.

But it's only some writers opinion, not even the odds posted in Vegas, SO WHY WORRY ABOUT IT?

Who cares what some idiot sportswriter writes, it's his job to write something.

Reality, you are a moron and I refuse to reply anymore after this  to you when you sit and compare comments made on two players careers to comparing two basketball TEAMS.  There is no backpeddling.  You just have a problem making sense and thinking logically.  That is all.

SA has the better team because 1 ) The won it all  2 ) they beat the team MIA couldnt  3) they have better more expierenced players and 4) they have a better coaching staff.  Just because Shaq is the most dominating player in recent history does not equal Miami having a better squad than the Spurs.  How you squeezed that out of your head I dont know.  There is more to both teams than just Duncan and Shaq.  You have things, that escape your pea brain, like coaching staff and playoff expierence.

Umm, whose quote is that?  It's not mine, is it?  You stated that Shaq, with Wade and co. can't beat SA -- that's not true, is it?

In fact, the ONLY time this year that SA played Shaq, Wade and Co. they lost -- you hate true facts, don't you?  Did I say that Miami wouldn't win in a series?  Nope -- but YOU said that Miami couldn't beat SA with Shaq, Wade and co. and whether you are ever man enough to admit it (you aren't), you simply are WRONG!!!
