I'm not really down with Batman in that Im not that familiar.  I did watch the one with Jack Nicholson as the Joker.  Very good.  Also the one with Ahrnohld as the IceMan.  Very good.

Any takes on Batman Begins?

Very good beginning, snoozed thru a part of the middle, end was pretty good.

I am not a Batgeek, if one is familiar with all the plotlines and characters Im sure it would make more sense.

First I'd like to say that I loved this movie.  So much so, that my wife and I celebrated our first year by watching it on the IMAX.  When I heard Christopher Nolan (Memento) was doing the movie, and Christian Bale (American Psycho) was the main guy, I knew it wasn't going to be done right.

Raz Ahlgul (sp?) is the leader of the League of Shadows in the Comics but one gripe of the movie is that he never works with anyone who isn't in the league (Scarecrow).

Scarecrow, Prof. John Crane, is your evil genius, mad scientist type completely obsessed with the Human emotion of fear.  I know him well because he was one of the main bad guys in Batman: the Animated Series.

Lucious Fox is Bruce Wayne's liasion to the board of Wayne Enterprises, NOT the mechanic.  The ending made me happier than I would've been with that situation.

And for some more Nit-pickery, Gordon went from being a Seargent to a Commissioner, not Detective to Lieutenant.

All in all, what a great freakin' movie.

Skander,

Raz Alguhl or however you spelled it is actually spelled Ra's al Ghul.  And yes, for those wondering, that apostrophe is correct.   I love that name, by the way.  Reeks of coolness.

However, I liked the way they pronounced it in the Animated Series more than the movie.  In TAS, it was "RASH" with a long "a".  In the movie, it was "RAZ."  I like "RASH" more.  Sue me.

Peace,
Caleb
