Don't even think about it.....
I did hear correctly.
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- The Detroit Pistons added depth to their frontcourt Friday by signing center Elden Campbell.
The Pistons used Campbell off the bench to guard Shaquille O'Neal during last summer's NBA Finals win over the L.A. Lakers. They could use the veteran in a similar fashion during the upcoming playoffs as Detroit eyes a matchup with O'Neal and the Eastern Conference-leading Miami Heat.
Campbell, who was traded to Utah on Jan. 21 along with a future first-round pick for Carlos Arroyo, was waived by the Jazz and signed by the New Jersey Nets on Jan. 28.
In 10 games with the Nets, Campbell had two points, 11 rebounds and three assists in 50 total minutes. New Jersey waived Campbell this week.
Campbell, 36, averaged 4.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 10.8 minutes in 21 games this season with Detroit. He appeared in 65 games last season and averaged 5.6 points and 3.2 rebounds in 13.7 minutes per game.
In a related move, the Pistons placed guard Horace Jenkins on the injured list with lower back spasms. In 14 games this season, Jenkins has averaged 2.6 points per game
