Since the Jazz seemed to be Monya's destination, just  wanted your opinions on him.  From what I have read, the scouting reports I have seen, his stat lines etc., he really excites me.  Most Europeans who have come over have focused on the offensive end without developing their defensive games.  Especially those from the ex-Yugoslavia.  Monya seems to be an exception tp that rule, much like Kirilenko.  If Monya is what I think he can be I am very very excited.  In my opinion he will become a better player than Bonzi Wells, and we selected Monya with the pick we received for Bonzi.

A quotation is a handy thing to have about, saving one the trouble of thinking for oneself.

I've not seen anything of him playing in real life, but everything I've read about Monia is absolutely *GLOWING*.  The Jazz were incredibly high on him, and I'm somewhat surprised that we didn't take him given that fact.  Basically, he should be a great pick-up for Portland.

I haven't seen any of him either, but I've heard he has a defensive mentality much like Kirilenko and has nice size for his athletic level. Something like 6'8" 220 lbs. That's a nice b-ball body, especially for a guy with SG athleticism and a stopper mentality. I think you guys probably scored. Nice make up for the Telfair pick, which I thought was way too early--not to mention the fact that he's small.
