Portland deals for 22nd pick in NBA draft: report

Tue Jun 22,10:15 AM ET

BRISTOL, United States (AFP) - The Portland Trail Blazers (news) reportedly are stockpiling first-round picks in Thursday's National Basketball Association draft

ESPN reported Monday that the Blazers have agreed to trade backup point guard Eddie Gill and three million dollars to the New Jersey Nets (news) for the 22nd overall pick.

The deal would be announced on draft night and give the Blazers three first-round picks. Portland already has the 13th pick as well as the 23rd, which it obtained previously from Memphis.

ESPN reported that New Jersey would make the No. 22 selection for the Blazers.
