12/18 Sixers @ Celtics

We win! In spite of Jordan being an idiot, coming up with the worst possible rotations and the team going down by 15 points, eventually he figured out that Brand and Speights were a match for Garnett and Perkins on both ends of the floor.

The Sixers were able to play very good defense down the stretch and also managed to score against Boston's defense.

This is what I have been looking for from the Sixers from the beginning, with Speights and Brand dominating inside, forcing teams to leave Iguodala and others open for easy shots.  If they can play inside against the Celtics and win, they can beat anybody!

Next game is against the Clippers and then the Sixers go on a western streak where I think they can take every game, including the one against Utah. It will take some time for the rest of the league to take notice, they are 12 games below .500.

Also keep in mind this was done without Iverson and Williams, one of the reasons for Jordan's substitutions. Had they been available it would have been much less likely that the Sixers would fall behind as they did with Kapono and Ivey on the floor.

The only shame about all this is that Jordan's ineptitude may be overlooked, since once this team is healthy it will be so easy for him to put good combinations on the floor all his past goofs will be forgotten. It will be hard for him to screw up once everyone is back.

Followed up by a home loss to the Clippers
