Spurs bounce back
« on: April 22, 2010, 10:52:19 AM »
Game 2 @ Mavs after the game 1 fiasco with Dirk getting the extreme Laker treatment....
Don't get the shovel out on the Spurs just yet.

Timmy Dunks and Manu GNob looking practically like their 2005 playoff co-MVP selves.
Dick Jefferson taking the ball to the rack on multiple occasions with success!  Something RealSpurs have been wanting out of the SF position ever since 2006 when Findawg came over.
Dicks most successful drive was actually a miss that Timmy Dunks cleaned up.  Guarded very closely by Butler, Dick put the ball on the floor and bolted instead of his season long standing around.
Tony P looking solid if not great.
DeJuan SuperBlair missed a dunk that torked me off.  Otherwise he had an *off* game, which means snapping down 4 boards in 11 minutes.  ;)
Good all around team effort.

I actually think it's better to defend Dirk but standing back a half or full step.  Seems to freak him out.  When bodied closely he either does that push off fadeaway or gets the bogus call.

And lets be real, Dallas missed a lot of shots last night.
On to San Antonio!
