Billups named but Melo wasn't.  Thoughts?

Oh and why isn't Kevin Love playing in the rookie game?

If you look at Denver's record since the Iverson/Billups trade then Billups makes sense over Melo.  Also I think if Melo doesn't miss so many games then he might be there.

But then I would ask the same question...who do you remove?  Dirk?  Gasol?  West?  One of the guards?

I would argue that Durant or Al Jefferson deserves the spot over Melo this year.

And I would remove West.

He was out too many games, that's all.  Besides, isn't his wrist still bad? Or do you vote him in and let the league substitute for him.

The fans select the players and they're more likely to pick a player that doesn't belong.  The coaches select the reserves and know which ones gave their team a hard time.  Melo wasn't the one they were thinking about when they voted, probably because he wasn't playing.

Based on adjusted plus/minus Melo doesn't belong.  It suggests that it's Nene that is the big reason behind Denver's success.

Watching actual Nuggets games say its Chauncey Billups.

But boxscores say Melo.    ;)

Did anyone else want to slap the Nuggets representative quoted in the article?  I am not quite sure why he thinks his team should have two all-stars going.  They are not playing that well.  He seems delusional.  Going as far to say that no one can score like Melo even though we all know Bron, Kobe, Dwayne, Pierce, etc can score better than he can.
