farther than the gap fire actually - at least for now - the gap fire was quite close - we had intermittent power outages and were under an evacuation warning - this one is farther north and east to us and moving the opposite direciton ( so fra) didn't even have power outages...it's actually closer to my office where i am now than my home...hoping not to have to evacuate office cause that would be a pain

Actually, my bosses house might or might not be there any more - if you look at a map of the fire and see skofield park - she's right next to it and it seems the fire is in skofield and rattlesnake park according to the news.

Must say - went to inciweb.org for updates, usually great for information - but hasn't been updated in about a week and ahalf on any thing still has a 16K acre fire listed as 0% contained

Hope none of the posters here are anywhere this newer and much much bigger fire, though rob lowe did say the tea fire looked like armageddon.

This Yorba Linda fire is rumored to have been started at a trailer park.
