If you must know, LaQueers is the feminine version. LeQueers is just too macho sounding.
I just get this mental picture of some fruity French guy sashaying to the free thow line with a scarf around his neck wearing the old school "short shorts".
For some reason I got a mental picture of Sasha Vujacic after reading this.
