Pat Riley will probably put out an instructional video on how to tank for more ping pong balls.

Actually, there was a very similar, if not identical, score in the Finals between the Bulls and the Jazz. Can't remember which year.

You are right Ted -- I'm kind of surprised that you haven't found a way to wipe that off your hard drive.  It was game one, I believe and the Bulls held the Jazz to 54 points (I think that's still a record for a finals game -- so at least the Jazz managed to put something in the record books).

What's interesting is that I believe the lowest number of points scored (at least that I can remember) to date happened, I think, also involved the Chicago Bulls (after MJ retired and Pippen was traded).  They didn't score 50 points (49, I believe) and it was the Miami Heat who held them to that point total.

It was a big deal at the time -- all the Bulls haters enjoyed that one a great deal.

It wasn't the following season that the Bulls tanked, was it Ziggy?  Although that would explain why I remember it so well -- it was just GREAT to watch the Bulls lose for a change!  lol

No.  Jordan retired from the Bulls after the 98 title.
