Team USA is gearing up for the Tournament of the Americas, where they'll attempt to secure a berth for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Only 17 players on the full national roster will be in uniform for the minicamp. Here's a breakdown of the entire 32-man roster:

I'm hoping that they will try really hard.  You know like they are playing for a world championship.  The talent is there.  No excuse about 'shooters'.  No excuse about ball handling and passing skills.  Pretty much this squad has no excuse with the people who are set to play for team USA.

Sort of excited but only because I miss basketball so much already.

the selection committee drives me nuts.  It's not about finding role players, it's about finding complementary parts.  Putting guys like Mike Miller, Battier and Bowen might mean there are "role players", but that doesn't mean the parts fit.
